About Molybdenum Metal
Molybdenum Metal is not a naturally occurring metal, it is produced from naturally occurring minerals, the most common of which is Molybdenite. Molybdenite is purified and then oxidised to form soluble Molybdate. This is then leached with Ammonia to form Ammonium Molybdate, which is then reduced to form pure Molybdenum Metal.

Molybdenum is a silvery metal with a grey cast and has the sixth-highest melting point of any element. It readily forms hard, stable carbides in alloys.
Uses
Around 80% of global production is used in steel alloys, including high-strength alloys and superalloys.
