About Cerium Mischmetal

Cerium Mischmetal, also known simply as Mischmetal contains a combination of rare earth metals – predominantly Cerium and Lanthanum. It is widely used to make Ferro Silicon Magnesium and in the preparation of virtually all rare earth elements. It is also used to produce ferrocerium which produces hot sparks and is used as the “flint” ignition device of many lighters and torches.
